The Mr. Whippy brand came to Australia from the UK in 1962. During the 1970’s, the brand decided to retail through outlets in shopping centres rather than from its fleet of vans in the suburbs of Sydney. Within a few years, the Mr. Whippy brand had sold off the last of its company owned vehicles. There has not been a true Mr. Whippy van in Australia since the mid 1970's, with only pirated derivatives of the name existing since then.
Today, the real Mr. Whippy brand is back!
